The Blaise Blazer 2013

at Blaise Castle




The Blaise Blazer is a 4* mile 'hill' race mini-series featuring the biggest hills and the best views in the grounds of Blaise Castle. The event starts from the Westbury Harriers' club house (adjacent to the main car park and playground) at Blaise Castle.  Races take place immediately after a briefing at 7:15pm on:

Monday 5th August 2013 - The August event will also have a team prize... the 'Blazer Challenge Cup'. The team event is a race within a race. It is for teams of 8 (6 male / 2 female). First 8 in from each club to count.

  There is a pre-race briefing at 7:15pm to cover the course (which is only 'lightly' marked) and health & safety.

Contact Phil Court (events@westburyharriers.co.uk or 01454 613720) for further information. Entries (£5 - or £7 if unaffiliated) are taken on the night only, from 6:15pm. The event is held under UK Athletics Rules, subject to permit. Minimum age 15.  *Race length is approximate, and includes 600 feet ascent. Start limit 150 due to course limitations - there will an extended start if entries require.  Due to the nature of the terrain, the event is unsuitable for wheelchairs, prams, pushchairs, etc.
