The U17 Team Were All Previous Medallists at this Event

(Continued from page 1)

With 2 of the 3 members from last year's winning U15 team, the U17 team had the form to challenge for the medals, and did not disappoint.  Sam Dalgleish, part of the Bronze medal-winning U15 team 2 years ago, took the team around the first lap in 7th place (9:27)
Tom Carpenter, who has two previous medals from this event, survived a dispute with an unruly tree, and moved the team up to 5th place (9:33)

Richard Peters is now used to putting the glory into the glory leg, having brought home gold-medals last year.  He charged around the last lap to finish in 3rd place, just 11 seconds down on the winners (9:24)

Meanwhile, the 'B' team was not doing half badly either, as Harry Webb took them off to a storming start (9:43)
Ashley Rymer, on the second leg of the 'B' team, ran the clubs fastest time of the day (9:20; 10th fastest overal), easily his best run of the winter so far.

Damien Holcombe fell early on the last lap, and had to tussle with a tight chasing pack, bringing the 'B' team home in 15th (10:15; 2nd 'B' team to finish).
