Name of Volunteer

 

Main purpose

Identify individuals and/or organisations who can assist Westbury Harriers in running its affairs.
Manage the welfare of volunteers to ensure they are rewarded and encouraged.

Responsible to

Club committee

Competencies/ Experience

Friendly, outgoing, proactive approachable individual with good communication skills and enthusiasm.

Needs to work with existing volunteer team to identify roles for new volunteers and discuss with potential candidates.

Also possibly set up and run 1-2 meetings per year for volunteers

Qualifications

None

Commitment

2 hours per week, phone calls, regular at training nights

Maintain the club financial accounts
Logging payments and receipts
Signatory on cheques
Provide committee with monthly report of income and expenditure
Prepare accounts for auditing by club accountant
Ideally review club funds and advise committee of spending plans

Responsible to

Club committee

Competencies/ Experience

Some experience with book keeping/accounts would be useful

Ordered and methodical approach

Being able to add up!

Qualifications

Maths, financial qualification would be an advantage

Commitment

1-2 hours per week, prepared to bank cheques

Prepare a regular newsletter to club members (3-4 times per year)
Maintain Club Website
Ideally provide event reports to local press

Competencies/ Experience

No specific experience.

Good written skills – prepare articles

Some IT knowledge required for Website management

Prepared to gather race results

May be good role for junior (budding journalist!)

Qualifications

None Required

Commitment

2 hours per week.
