English Schools Track & Field Championships, 2005
Athletes from our partner club of Yate & District AC posted some great performances at the English Schools Track & Field Championships at Alexander Stadium in July 2005, representing Avon Schools (sky blue with white band) and Gloucestershire Schools (Gold with Burgundy Hoop).
Gregg Smith and Ryan Scott progressed comfortably through the qualifying rounds of the senior boys 100m to a classic final, which saw Ryan powering his way to a silver medal in 10.51, with Gregg in 5th place with a fine 10.77 |

Jade Ellans also returned home with a silver medal, after leaping 5:55 in the Junior Girls Long Jump. |

Sam Dalgleish just missed out on a medal with 8:51.7 in the Intermediate Boys 3000m, while Richard Peters finished 9th in the 1500m, having run 4:03.6 in the heats. |  |
